Finding the quiet places

I photograph with iPhone because I want to show that a great picture doesn’t require expensive gear. The best camera is the one you always have with you at the quiet ridges of the Smokies, still lakes under the Tetons, steam over Yellowstone, the boardwalk at Congaree — and the hills outside Lexington at dusk.

I’m based in central Kentucky, formerly in Columbus, Ohio.

Nothing here is hurried. I wait, I walk, I take the picture, and then I put the phone away. If a photograph still feels true later, it belongs on this wall.
